Archives of the Roman Catholic Bishopric of Wuerzburg (Diözesanarchiv Würzburg)

State vital registration in the area of our bishopric was established in 1876. So, our main sources for genealogical researches prior to 1876, are the baptism, marriage and death registers of the local parishes.

Meanwhile, most of the older church books, about 6,500 volumes from 550 parishes of our diocese, are gathered and available on microfilm in our house.
